PETER COULSON

 

Peter Coulson, known as the modern age black-and-white master of Photography, specialises in the genres of beauty, fashion and fetish. His images are recognised and well known for their sensual, mysterious & elegant feel; always with a twist of his screwed up sense of humour. He has worked commercially as a photographer for over 20 years.

Coulson lives and breathes photography; 1/3 commercial, 1/3 educational, 1/3 shooting what he loves – 24/7. His love and passion is very evident in his work. The attention to detail, use of light, and the emotiveness of the models he shoots creating something that is visually and mentally stimulating. Fans around the world are captivated by his depth of knowledge, creativity, and the incredibly fascinating photographic world.

His work is a continuous series of ongoing projects, portraits and commercial work. Coulson is inspired by people, places, objects, world events, but most importantly light and emotion. Coulson’s work has been published as covers and editorials in magazines worldwide, as well as winning multiple prestigious awards.

SHELLA MARTIN


 

Shella is a makeup artist with over 16 years experience, having created a profile for herself as an events and editorial specialist.

Trained at the international makeup houses of Yves Saint Laurent and M.A.C, perfecting her skills for over 13 years. 

Shella is currently Creative Director of Salon XVI in Melbourne
where she spearheads the editorial, film, commercial,  bridal and competition direction of the artistic team.

Her beauty work features in editorial spreads both in Australia and overseas including Vogue Australia, Vogue Japan, Numero Tokyo, ID Japan, ID (Aunz), Vision (China) , Vogue Italia, Fault (UK), Factice, AndMen, Liike, Slave, Tribute (UK), Professional Beauty, Instyle, Black (NZ) , Schön, No.ise, Hush, Cream.

The first half of 2017 has been an incredibly busy and event filled one for Shella. Recently returning from working in Tokyo with Shu Uemura, Art of Hair team on the back of being part of Pat McGrath's makeup team for Milan FW A/W17.  Working on the Versace Runway assisting the head makeup artist tending to Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, followed by making up British Royal, Lady Kitty Spencer and Wednesday Campanella & Oliver Chesire for D&G '17 Millennials Runway.   

The list of faces Shella has had the pleasure of making up is forever increasing, including Julia Stone, Ella Hooper, Montaine, Tina Arena, Kimbra, Bec Hewitt, Ashliegh Brewer and Steph Claire Smith.

THE MAKE-UP ARTIST'S

MARC CLANCY

Is a self taught social media artists who creates realistic wounds & moulage. He has a huge social following and has been awarded a silver play button by Youtube for his content creation and contribution to the online special effects community. He is also an advisor to the Faculty of Health and Medicine Newcastle Australian college of moulage, runs the Australian special effects group on Facebook with almost 2000 members, has worked on several locally made horror movies here in Melbourne and has run sell out classes teaching his skills to beginners and experience makeup artists.

Marc focuses primarily on out of kit effects. Pushing products to their limits and proving you don’t always need expensive materials to create realism.

He teaches students the skills needed to create realistic wounds including bone, muscle, veins, tendons, body fat, capillaries and flesh using both traditional moulage methods and modern day materials.

KARCHI MAGYAR

Australia has grown up loving, laughing and following Karchi's TV characters.  He has transformed so many famous Australian actors into all sorts of charcacters with his highly extensive knowlwedge of wigs SPFX and make-up. TV shows like Full Frontal, Kath And Kim to Mad as Hell. Karchi Magyar started his career decades ago in Europe where he was formally traineed in Hair/ Wigs & Make-up/SPFX. 

The training he went through in Europe is nothing like Australia's training of today. Any Make-up artist that gets the honour of working with Karchi will be lucky enough to be shown make-up & wig techniques that have been passed down from generations of artists from Europe.

A few actors he transformed into characters are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eric Bana, Shaun Micallef, Gina Reily, Magda Szubanski, Glen Robins, Jane Turner, Julian Morris, Kym Gyngell, Marg Downey, Michael Veitch, Hamish & Andy.

ALINE JOYCE

 

Aline Joyce is a makeup, hair and prosthetics artist based in Sydney + Melbourne, Australia. Having qualifications such as a Advanced Diploma in makeup and Special Effects, a degree in painting and sculpture and a lens technician certificate. With over 14 years in makeup, hair styling and special effects covering all aspects of the industry - Aline's work has the highest standard of artistry and precision. A background in fine arts - Aline has become well known to bring beautiful, loveable or frightening characters to life on screen. Through a meticulous character design process and thorough historical research, to breathe life into any concept. Aline has extensive experience in Fashion, TV, Film (Alien Covenant, Mad Max, The Great Gatsby, Wolverine, Pirates of The Caribbean), Print and event work, such as The Logies and Virgin Australia Fashion Festival.

DEBBIE MULLER

Debbie Muller is one of the most innovative makeup, hair and special effects makeup artists and designers in Australian motion pictures. Born on January 6, 1969 in a small country town in Uitemhage, South Africa with French / Austrian parents, this creative makeup artist now calls Australia home. Her creative journey started as a commercial artist, and by pure accident she stumbled into the world of make-up artistry at the age of 20, where she was introduced to make-up by her mother Julie Muller, who taught her how to apply make-up by selling cosmetic brand "AVON".

In 1992, she travelled to Los Angeles and under the guidance of makeup teachers at Paramount studios, and Westmores Make-up Academy, she was able to be learn the art of make-up for film.With a background in art, photography and graphic design, she volunteered as a make-up artist at the "Australian Film Television and Radio School", where she worked on numerous short films, TV commercials and soon found her way into Fox studios, where she was hired as an additional makeup artist on feature films in both Australia and the UK. In 1999 she was Hair and makeup designer on her first independant feature film Amnesia, soon after she was hired by Azure productions, where she was head of department on over 10 films and TVC commercials.

Her credits cover a wide and diverse range of productions - The Great Gatsby, The Wolverine (2013), Riptide (2017) , Emo the Musical (2016) , Foreign Bodies (2017) . Over the past 27 years she has been hired as a Make-up designer, Make-up Supervisor and Head of Department. Her ability to work on both large and small budget films have proven that Debbie Muller is a make-up artist that makes practical decisions. She has travelled to Malaysia, Samoa, Scotland and the USA on TV productions and documentaries.

Her passion and ability to communicate her craft to others had her take an interest in educating future make-up artist. In 2003 she opened her own makeup academy in Sydney. She named it "Final Checks". Debbie is a well sought after Global educator and has been teaching the art of make-up and special make-up effects for the past 14 years to students in the USA, Asia, Africa and Australia and at trade shows in both USA and Australia. Debbie has much knowledge in period beauty make-up, and as a educator and make-up artist she is often hired by the Ben Nye Make-up company and the CEO Dana Nye to teach make-up artist how to create beauty make-up with their products.

In 2015 she was hired as a makeup supervisor for TV comedy show on Foxtel- Open Slather, where she was able to use all her skills in hair, make-up, wig and prosthetic application to create character makeups in various genre. She has since been a personal make-up artist on feature films and still travels to various countries across the globe to work on productions that require a make-up artist who can be both a leader and a creative team member.

LIZ SHARP

 

Liz Sharp is an established Australian Visual Artist Specialising in Make-Up, Hair, SPFX (Special FX), Body Art & Educator. Liz Sharp owns 'LVSHOME' Located in Melbourne, catering to the Makeup/ Hair/ SPFX/ Body art Industry of Professionals, teaching skills + polishing workshops.

Liz started her training in 1996 in Make-Up, then went onto obtaining her Visual Art’s Degree from the Canberra School of Art, A.N.U. Liz is also an established painter in her own right. She is known for her extraordinary eye for colour & detail, in all areas she works.


Her name, professional ethics + quality work is laced throughout make-up and visual arts circles. Liz works in Editorial, Celebrity, Fashion Films, Music Videos, Film & TV, SPFX, Theatre, Body Art, and as a Educator of Make-Up + Creative Director on fashion shows.
